A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole. This cenote is on the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico. The use of it was exclusively sacrificial and ceremonial but has now become a beautiful place to visit & take a very refreshing and magical swim.
