Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool is all but a done deal, seemingly to the universal delight of Kopites.

After plucking their last three managers from Swansea, retirement and Fulham, the Reds have aimed their sights a lot higher this time round.

The imminent arrival of Klopp has echoes of the appointement of Rafael Benitez 11 years ago, with both managers having won two league titles (in Germany and Spain, respectively) before heading to Merseyside.

Benitez won the Champions League and FA Cup during his tenure at Anfield and if Klopp can land some major trophies, he will be hailed as a hero by the Kop.
